Pokémon Go App
The Pokémon GO app will be released in 2016, available on both iPhone and Android devices for free download. The app is being developed by Niantic. Inc, with the contribution of The Pokémon company, Nintendo Co, Ltd, and Junichi Masuda from Game Freak Inc, the game director of the series. Along with the app, a wearable device call Pokemon GO Plus, developed by Nintendo Co., will allow any player to be in contact with the game when not using the app on their smartphones.
“My response to the new idea of the app is “Go Pokémon,” Maygua Zavala ‘16 said.
According to the official Pokémon website, the app will be utilizing real world locations such as the Hokkaido and Kanto regions of Japan, New York, and Paris, as creativity for the game’s various settings.
Pokémon GO Plus will work by being connected via Bluetooth to any smartphone with the downloaded app, notifying players about events happening in the game. The button on the device will enable players to make actions on the game.
Although the game app was announced in September of 2015, an official release date has not been announced. A glimpse of the game app was uploaded on the official Pokémon website for viewers to acquire an understanding about the general format of the game app.
