Catching Up with Girls Lacrosse
The girls lacrosse team is returning from a powerful 2015 season. Last year with the help of coach Crier, the girls managed to make their way to the first round of State Finals, having a successful season.
Many of the team members aspire to make it farther into State Finals again. The team feels the great relationship they all had helped them make it there. Some returning players this year include Kassidy Large [‘16], Kendall Clawson [‘16], Lily Barlow [‘16], Shanti Basu [‘16], and Evan Doll [‘16].
“We all kind of got along really well and we came together as a team, so we were all really friendly with each other.” said Erika Gonzales [‘17].
The girls are excited to start playing again and compete against other teams. Countless opportunities await them.
When asked about what she was excited for this season, Barlow [’16] said, “Probably just the team in general, and just that we have a really good group of girls this year and we’ll be able to have a JV team.”
Incoming Varsity defensive player Libby Klein [‘19], said “This will be my fifth year playing lacrosse, “I’m most looking forward to getting to play with my old teammates and getting to make new ones this year.”
Mar. 14, the girls kick off their season with a game at Bennett Field against West Albany.
