Girls Tennis: A Promising Year

The girls tennis team is 2-2 [two wins and two losses] at this point in the season. So far this season South has competed against Forest Grove, McKay, North, McNary, McMinnville, and West Albany. South beat both North and McKay with a 7-1 [seven wins and one loss] meet.
“I am very excited hopefully we’ll be able to make it to state so far we are undefeated, [with the three matches she played],” Jillian Studer ‘17, who plays doubles with her sister Loryn Studer ‘17, said.
“The competition is good this year, there are definitely some schools more focused than others,” Chloe Elmore ‘18 said.
Elmore alternates playing doubles with Kaitlyn Paluska ’17 and Selbie Christensen ‘18.
Chandler Wren ‘19 plays doubles with Megan Edelblute ‘19 and they have both been acknowledged by Dave Johnson as athletes of the week for girls tennis.
“Our goal [this year] is to get seated at districts. Hi mom and hi dad,” Wren said.
