The baseball team has been working hard this season to do well while competing, and have been concentrating on getting a better mindset for the games. The team has been trying to improve their competitive skills, along with aiming to build a more resilient comradery.
“We have a lot of seniors, so a lot of seniors want to finish off strong in their baseball careers. A lot of seniors that have played together throughout their years and I think most of these guys have played football together in the fall and they were super successful and so were super strong as a unit.” Aaron Zavala ‘16 said.
Teamwork is important in sports, and the baseball team has been working hard to improve those skills this season.
“Off season i’ve been spending a lot of time getting better, and making sure my teammates are doing the same. We work on the fundamentals and do things to get better as a team.” Zavala said.
“Our weakness is our mindset, we don’t have a very good mindset. When things don’t go our way we go downhill and can’t get back.” Collin Vogt ‘18 said. “It’s been a pretty good season, ups and downs. Along the way we’ve had a few challenging things within our inner circle of our team, but we’re learning, developing, kind of getting around it and improving, the goal is to improve every day.”
