Thompson, Smith and Zavala Sign LOI


On Thursday April 5, three South athletes signed their letters of intent to continue their athletic careers in college for the second wave of letter signings this year.
Aaron Zavala ‘18 signed his letter to play college baseball at the University of Oregon. Zavala has been starting on varsity for three years of his high school career and received 1st team All-League honors his sophomore and junior year. Zavala has been a key player for the Saxons varsity baseball team and will carry on his success at the U of O
Beau Smith ‘18 signed to St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota to play football. Smith has been a starter on the Saxons offensive line for the past three years. He also has been a member of the All-League team during this time. Smith has been a dominant force for the Saxons on the offensive line.
Jonathan Thompson ‘18 signed his Letter of Intent to play football at College of the Siskiyous. Thompson has been a member of the varsity football team at South Salem for the past three years and starting for the past two.
