Why Tom Holland is The Best Spider-man

Tobey Maguire was the first spiderman to appear in a live action movie. His portrayal of spiderman was not necessarily bad, but rather the lack of an established reference movie, such as the movies included in an extended Marvel Cinematic Universe to compare his performance to.s. The standard for a superhero movie was not set until Robert Downey Jr played Iron Man in the 2008 Iron Man film. After seeing all the modern MCU movies, it give perspective that Tobey was not necessarily the best Spiderman. One of the reasons people enjoy the original spiderman movies is because of nostalgia, not the arguably terrible performance by Maguire.   
Andrew Garfield’s portrayal of Spiderman was worse than Maguire’s for a different reason: his age.. In the comics, Spiderman is meant to be a high schooler, where Garfield was in his late twenties when the movie was released and was supposed to look like a high school student. Spiderman is known for being a teenager in the comics, his most popular storylines includes him as a teenager, and thus should arguably look like or be a teenager in his cinematic portrayal.. Garfield was not the worst Spiderman, but he lacked the quirky charisma that peter parker is known for.
As the most recent Spiderman, Holland has had the most ability to learn from the spiders of the past, and has had more time to perfect his characterization of Spiderman Holland is a twenty-one year old british actor who looks and fits the part perfectly. He has the great awkward teenager charm that spiderman has always been known for. His costume is also the most comic accurate compared to the other two portrayals. One thing that also puts Holland above the other two is that he is apart of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although this isn’t something the other actors could control, it really puts Holland above the rest seeing him fight alongside other iconic marvel super heroes and allows his character arc to be explored by intertwining with the established MCU. I have taken an oath to always publish the truth in this media platform therefore I must say: Tom holland is the best spiderman to appear in a marvel movie.
