Ashley Zhu Up for Vote as Stateman Journal's Athlete of the Week
Statesman Journal has Ashely Zhu up for athlete of the week against students from Cascade, Dayton, and West Salem High.
“The sophomore shot two-under-par 70 to earn the medalist honors at Santiam Golf Club, including a hole in one, as the Saxons won the SAY Golf Tournament Saturday,” Statesman Journal said.
As of April 12 at 9:00 a.m. she had the majority vote with 365, with Alyssa St. Peter right behind her with 364. St. Peter plays softball for Cascade. Simran Dhote for West Salem baseball and Rachael Fluke for Dayton softball are third and fourth respectively.
Voting ends Thursday April 14 at noon. All votes can be made on the Statesman Journal Facebook page.
Update: As of April 13 at 1 p.m., Zhu is in second place with 1025 votes, and St. Peter is in first with 1125. Fluke and Dhote also switched positions.
Update: As of April 14 at 9:00 a.m., Zhu is still in second place with 1179 votes. St. Peter has 1275 and is in first, Fluke with 158 in third, and Dhote with 74 in fourth. Voting ends today at noon.
