The first round of NBA playoffs ended on Sunday, May 1, with the Toronto Raptors eliminating the Indiana Pacers [89-84] and the Miami Heat beating the Charlotte Hornets [106-73]. In the Western conference on April 29 the Portland Trail Blazers ended a best-of-7 series in six games with the Los Angeles Clippers. Damian Lillard scored 132 points in the six games of the series. The second round of the NBA playoffs started on April 30, with the San Antonio Spurs getting a win against the Oklahoma City thunder [124-92].
In the second round of the playoffs, the Blazers will be playing the Golden State Warriors. In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be playing the Atlanta Hawks, and the Heat will be playing the Raptors. In the first game of the series the Warriors got a one game [106-118] lead in a best-of-7 series against the Blazers led by Klay Thompson who scored 37 points. Then the Warriors won another game on May 3 [110-99] after the Blazers lost an 11 point lead in the fourth quarter. In the eastern conference, the Raptors lost a close game in overtime [102-96] after Kyle Lowry shot a basket from half court to send the game into overtime. But in overtime the Heat won [102-96]. The other match in the east was ended in a best of seven series by the Cavaliers. The Cavaliers swept the Hawks led by LeBron James who scored 97 points in the four games. Then the Thunder ended a series with the Spurs in six games. Kevin Durant led the Thunder in points with 171.
Finally the Blazers lost the series against the Warriors in five games. Lillard led the Blazers in points with 159. But all teams will get another chance next year, while the others still playoffs will one more series to play out until the finals.
