This year South’s music department will have concerts on the week of Oct. 17 to 20. Chamber Orchestra will be playing on the 18, Wind Ensemble on the 19, and Choir on the 20.
“we’ve [the orchestra] improved a lot more than we had in the summer, We’ve rehearsed a lot and we try to keep focus during rehearsals and we take sectionals seriously as well,” Joanna Tan ‘18 said.
For the fall concert the Orchestra will be performing Sinfonia iiv d-moll, Match, and Reprise. The new Orchestra director is Damian Berdakin who has been working with the orchestra since the summer. On Thursdays the orchestra has practice from 3:30-4:30 p.m. as well as sectionals during that time.
“It’s gonna be a good start for the new year it’s my final fall concert,” Marisela Gonzalez ‘17 said.
The Chamber choir will be performing Home They Brought Her Warrior Dead, Lineage,Will the Circle Be Unbroken, and Spirit of Life.
