The Beavers Saturday game ended with a 44-47 overtime win against California. During the game, the Beavers racked up a total of 474 rushing yards. Half of those yards were from running back Ryan Nall, who had 14 carries, 221 yards and 3 touchdowns before leaving the 4th quarter with an injury. The Beavers had a commanding lead heading into the 3rd quarter until the defense started to slow down, and allowed Cal to score 24 points while the Beavers couldn’t respond on offense. In the end, the Beavers and the Bears played into overtime, where the Beavers held Cal to a field goal. When it was the Beavers turn quarterback Darell Garretson ran a qb draw,(designed run) and ran for the touchdown that sealed the win for the beavs.
