Austin Maloata, a University of Oregon defensive lineman was arrested and dismissed from the team when he was arrested with a DUII and Reckless driving charges on Sunday morning at 1:48 am. Before the incident, he was having a good season, through 8 games this season, he had 27 tackles and 1.5 sacks before being dismissed by the Oregon football program.
Hours before the incident occurred, Maloata and the Ducks were playing the Stanford Cardinal. Oregon lost 52-27 at Autzen Stadium and Maloata was arrested for running a red light and striking another car near campus said the Eugene Police Department. After investigating, the police found Methamphetamine in the car. He was shortly after dismissed from the team.
