The day Friday the 13th has been a day of spookiness, superstition, and unusual events. Over the years, Friday the 13th has been a day where Hollywood has used the aura surrounding the day to release horror movies to add intrigue and suspense. One that was recently released was The Bye Bye Man, which was released earlier today, that has used the scary date to advertise their movie.
There has also been 12 movies released in the Friday the 13th series, the most popular of them being the crossover of both Freddy Kruger and Jason Voorhees in the movie Freddy vs. Jason.
Overall, Hollywood has definitely used this spooky date to bring in revenue. For instance, Friday the 13th which was released in 2009, was first at the box office totaling $42.2 Million while at number one.
