The Saxon Volleyball season is upon us and this season the team is setting its sights on improving on last years success. With only one senior graduating this year’s team is looking to top last year’s success with a heavy senior-filled roster looking to take the GVC title and even more.
Their first matchup of the season were against some league rivals in a Pre-League Jamboree in which South won three out of their four games and also against West Albany in their first league matchup of the season which they won three out of four sets played. To start the league season they have started out 5-0 and have only lost one set and beat last years league champion West Salem early on.
The Saxons hope they can continue on their early success as they are already ranked the 3rd best team in the state as they play the McMinnville Grizzlies and the Sprague Olympians next.
