ASB and Class Officers Announced for 2018-2019

On May 16, South students voted for ASB and Class Officers for the 2018-2019 school year. Results from the election were announced on May 21, with Hannah Healy ‘19 elected as ASB President and Enrique Flores ‘19 as ASB Vice-President.
For the 2018-2019 senior class, Kudzai Kupurura ‘19 was elected as Class President and Kundai Kupurura ‘19 was elected as Vice-President. Junior Class President Alison Hmura ‘20 was elected with Jasmine Zavala ‘20  as Vice-President. Stuart Heringer ‘21 was elected as sophomore Class President and Evan Thomas ‘21 was elected as Vice-President.
Candidates for ASB and Class Officers campaigned for their positions during the two weeks prior to the election, some hanging posters, passing out baked goods or candy, or speaking to students during lunches. Videos of the candidates speeches were posted online to the South website. During their sixth period class, freshman, sophomore, and junior students voted, either digitally or on paper, for ASB officers and officers for their class. Seniors did not participate.
