The Saxon Football team beat the Sprague Olympians 21-20 in a close one on Friday night advancing their record to 2-2.
The Saxons were down early, trailing 20-0 at the half but miraculously came back in the fourth quarter scoring three touchdowns and holding Sprague at 20. The first touchdown was scored at the very beginning of the fourth by a one yard run by Zach Webster ‘20. After that the momentum of the Saxon offense and defense shifted and their determination was shown as they battled back, making huge plays one after another on both sides of the field. A Saxon interception by Gabe Johnson ‘21 then lead to another touchdown by Webster, and then finally another much needed interception by Johnson lead to an incredible skying 23 yard catch by Treyden Harris ‘19 to secure the 21-20 victory.
