On Friday night the South Salem Saxons played their rivals, Sprague Olympians. It was an intense game with the score starting off with Sprague taking the lead 18-0 in the first half, but South came out and scored a touchdown in the second quarter, leaving the score at 18-7.
After half time the Saxons came back strong and full of energy and put up 21 points in the second half. Ryan Rickman had an outstanding night, as he rushed 13 times for 107 yards and scored all four of the teams touchdowns. He had scoring run of of six, one, five and 49 yards.
The Saxons went on to win the game 28-18 making their record 2-2 on the season and the Olympians drop to 0-4. Next up the Saxons will travel to Bend to take on the Lava Bears, kickoff is set for 7PM.
