The Pumpkin Spice Latte [PSL]was created by Starbucks with the help of a man named Peter Dukes in 2003. The PSL was created to be a fun and festive drink for the beginning of the holiday season and soon after its creation it became somewhat of an icon. However, now it has become more of a “basic” drink.
The pumpkin spice latte tastes a lot like cinnamon and coffee. There is not always much of a pumpkin flavor, but the smell is very good. The drink tastes a little different than one might expect from its smell. However, it is good to sit and drink when in the right mood, though it bears little to no match to hot cocoa.
The Starbucks menu is expansive with the drinks that have flavors, colors and other qualities that make each one different from the other. It is nice to have a drink that is affiliated with the end of summer and the start of the fall season. It can easily be a drink to have with friends, to study or just to sit on the couch one morning at home.
