Wildfires Rampant in Oregon

There have been many evacuations in reaction to recent wildfires across Oregon. They can be caused by a range of things from human error to harsh lighting strikes. Another factor in this outburst of flames is the high rise in temperature with dry ground. The wildfires not only affect our greenery but affect our air quality making it harder to breathe and releases more toxic chemicals into the air.

There were 140 wildfires reported from lighting strikes in the sky lake wilderness area. The largest being the Gopher Fire that was 200 acres of land. People were also advised to avoid certain paths near the Alta lake. More wildfires spread throughout the Willamette forest, the largest area being two acres of land in Mckenzie River Ranger District.
