October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month as well as Liver Cancer Awareness Month. To help increase awareness for these cancers students can wear a ribbon or clothing with the colors that represent these cancers. The color for breast cancer is pink and the color for liver cancer is green. Another way to participate is to encourage those at risk for these cancers is to talk to their doctors and to get screened for cancer. There are many small ways to contribute that can help increase awareness and improve the recovery rate.
