How Saxon Baseball Is Staying Connected During Quarantine

The 2020 Baseball season was canceled as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic. This meant that seniors will lose out on their last high school season.

Coach Max Price put a lot of work into this season and he plans to keep players working and getting better at baseball using a program he set up called School of Saxon Baseball. Through the program, players can watch podcasts, baseball movies, mentality videos, and do workouts to earn points. The players with the most points will win prizes like new gloves and gear.

Before spring sports seasons were shut down the Saxon baseball team had high expectations for the year. Last year, they had an outstanding season finishing 21-4-1 and making it to the state semi-finals.

The South Salem baseball program worked hard in the offseason to get ready for this year with weekly batting practices and arm care. Additionally, a lot of players worked on their own, taking time out of their day without being asked to get better.
