Protestors lit candles in honor of George Floyd. The candles were all arranged on the Capitol steps or left on the barricade in front of the Salem police station.
Police and protestors stand in solidarity
In a change from protests on Saturday and Sunday, police were openly supportive of the movement. They held candles and Lt. Treven Upkes gave a speech thanking the protestors.

Protestors marched from the Capitol with the support of the Salem Police Department. Police escorted the crowd and stopped traffic along the route.

A minor conflict occurs
Almost an hour after organizers declared the protest over and urged those gathered to return home, a group of stragglers and police came into conflict. The conflict resulted in arrests.
