The 24th annual Crystal Apple Awards, a school district-wide award that recognizes excellence in education, has opened its nominations. Any community member, student, parent, or co-worker can nominate any Salem-Keizer Public Schools public or private employee who meets the criteria outlined in the nomination packet included on the nomination page. The main requirements besides being a district employee is that the nominee must have been working for the district for 3 consecutive years or more, and they cannot have received a Crystal Apple award in the past. Any nominations must be received by December 2nd, 2022.
South Salem High School Culinary Arts Teacher Laura Hofer, and School Office Specialist Taya Woodall, received the award last time the Crystal Apple Awards took place in 2019. Continue the streak by nominating a staff member of choice!
