South Salem High School’s Gilmore baseball field was vandalized by two teens in a pickup truck on Monday, December 5. The teens are accused of driving onto the baseball field destroying the field in the process.
In an interview with the Statesman-Journal, Max Price, a baseball coach and English teacher at South Salem High School said it will be hard to estimate the damage, but estimated the cost could be in the tens of thousands of dollars.
According to the Salem Police Department the teens were released into the custody of their parents and referred to the Marion County Juvenile Department facing charges of criminal mischief.
