Another game down in the books for the South Salem High School volleyball team as they played West Salem High School at home. The competition was held on September 19th and the Saxons played with a strong defensive game on both sides of the court, which allowed them to walk away with the win.. This victory moved South up to 8th in the OSAA 6A bracket, putting them in the top ten.
“We’ve definitely had some ups and downs. We didn’t play great early on, but we really closed out in the end.” Head Coach Matt Leichty said.
Currently, South is 8-4 with a hope going forward.
“If we can play the way we are capable of, we can make a lot of good things happen within our team. It’s all just a matter of being consistent is a key thing for us,” Leitchy said.
The Saxons have eleven regular season games left and their next game will be at home on Thursday, September 21 against McNary High School.
