Considering every aspect of South Salem High School’s season resume, it became the consensus they would leave the first round victorious. This assumption comes from their undefeated season and their home-court advantage. However, this was not the case for the Saxons due to their 0-17 loss to Tigard High School. This outcome is no different from the 2022 season, which saw the Saxons face first-round elimination as well. This elimination was the first season loss for the Saxons. As well as that, it was the first time they were unable to score an in-game point.
In regards to the postseason, the playoffs will continue throughout the majority of the month and end on November 24. The remaining three rounds are to occur on the following dates: November 10, November 17 and November 24. Additionally, Tigard will play in the second round against third-seeded Sherwood High School; Sherwood will host the game.
