South Salem High School’s Prom is coming up and will take place at the Willamette Heritage Center from 8:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on April 13, and the theme that the Saxon staff chose is Masquerade. Tickets can be procured from the bookkeeper across from the upper commons during lunch or after school. They will be open until 4:00 p.m. if students choose to purchase after school. They are selling for 20 dollars with an ASB card and 25 dollars without an ASB card.
The attire recommended is formal but is not required. Prom is an opportunity to let loose and have fun with others in the community. Even though it is being held off campus, school rules still apply. It is expected of students to remain respectful to the Heritage Center and others. If a student wants to bring a guest, whether from a different grade or another school, the guest must fill out a guest-pass application from the Student Center. This pass must be turned in by April 10 and South will notify the student whether they were accepted or denied. If questions arise, parents and students can contact Kathy August for further information.
