“Dune: Part Two” was released in theaters on March 1, and watching it was a fantastic experience.
Spaceships with chrome mirror finishes shaped like a sphere, or gigantic sandworms that live in the desert, it doesn’t matter which is your favorite, because Dune has all of them.
Taking other things into consideration, its impact has been huge. With its recent release, it has pulled in 406 million dollars. Many videos have been posted on YouTube, Instagram Twitter and other platforms since the release. Also, these reviews and comments have been saying and detailing how “Dune: Part Two” will change the future of science-fiction movies forever. The impact was quite different from the first movie in 2021, which talked about a decent amount, but not “changing the sci-fi movie world.” With all of the popularity and publicity that “Dune: Part Two” has seen so far, it will only be a matter of time before “Dune: Part Three” will be announced for release.
The Origins of “Dune”
“Dune” the movie is based upon a book made by Frank Herbert called “Dune”. This is a six-book series involving political wars in the universe over a spice. This spice is only available on one planet called Arrakis (DUNE). This spice is used for intergalactic space travel, making the resource valuable.
War ensues after a Great House called the Harkonnen is removed from the planet and replaced by Atreides, a different Great House.
Paul Atreides and his house are destroyed by the Harkonnen who then take control of the planet leaving Paul stranded in the desert.
“Dune: Part Two” continues the story and takes it to another level, with the world. A world where it is only black and white, due to an all-black sun, or a completely political world planet where only politics exist, “Dune: Part Two” uses the worlds to add depth. The movie uses great visuals and cinematography to show the world the standard for science fiction movies going forward and tells the story perfectly. Thanks to the hard work put into “Dune: Part Two”, its success continues.
