GIRLS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP –
The South Salem High School girls’ basketball team has had a dynamic start to their season! Kicking things off with a dominating win against Roseburg, they secured an impressive 80-35 victory. However, they faced challenges in their next two games, falling to Southridge (WA) 47-57 and Tualatin 24-63. They bounced back nicely, claiming a convincing 65-30 win over Sunset, wrapping up non-league play with a balanced record.
Ranked #12 in the OSAA standings, the Saxons hold a 2-2 overall record. This week promises excitement as they prepare for three more non-league games, starting with Central on Thursday, followed by two additional matchups over the weekend.
BOYS BASKETBALL ROUNDUP –
The South Salem High School boys’ basketball team is on a roll! With a string of impressive victories, the Saxons have secured their place in the spotlight. Recently, they tackled Roseburg, clinching a commanding 83-61 win, followed by a decisive 86-54 triumph over Corvallis. They continued their momentum with an 80-52 victory against Sheldon and capped off the week with a solid 64-54 win over North Medford, all non-league matchups. Currently, the Saxons stand undefeated with a remarkable 4-0 overall record and are ranked #12 in the OSAA.
Looking ahead, the Saxons have a busy week ahead with four more non-league games, including an exciting clash against Inglewood (CA) on Thursday at 8:30 PM.
