
The South Salem girls’ basketball team kicked off their playoff run with an impressive victory, defeating the Grant Generals 66-46 on their home court.
Junior standout Emma Burlison led the charge, dropping a game-high 29 points to power the Saxons to a commanding win. From start to finish, the team maintained control, securing a comfortable 20-point margin and punching their ticket to the second round.
Next up, the Saxons will travel to Portland to take on the Jefferson Democrats in Round 2. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7.
