Saxons Defeat Sheldon in First-Round Playoff Upset

The South Salem boys’ basketball team hit the road for their first-round playoff matchup against Sheldon, delivering a dominant defensive performance to secure an upset victory. The Saxons held the Irish to just nine points at halftime and never let up, cruising to a 60-41 win on Sheldon’s home court.

Leading the charge was Central Valley Conference First-Team junior Teagan Scott, who dropped an impressive 31 points to fuel South Salem’s 20-point victory. The Saxons’ relentless defense and steady play kept them in control from start to finish, punching their ticket to the second round.

Up next, South Salem will travel to face the Tualatin Timberwolves, with tipoff set for 7:30 PM on Saturday, March 8.
