After a historic season where they went 29-0, the South Saxons lost in the OSAA Quarterfinals to the Grant Generals. The Generals, seeded ninth in the tournament, took five innings to triumph over the Saxons 12-0. While the first-seeded Saxons did not complete a run, they had three hits, two from Ben Greer, ’27 and one from Josh Feik, ’25. Subsequently, the furthest the Saxons reached was second base, on account of a double from Greer.

In terms of fielding, Kevin Semm, ’25, and Sawyer Nelson, ’26, lead the team in assists with two each. Additionally, as a team, the Saxons racked up 15 PO’s, Jackson Buckingham, 25 leading the charge with six.

While it was an unexpected ending, the Saxons still reign supreme in terms of the Central Valley Conference. They not only hold the conference title, but were the only CVC team to reach the Quaterfinals this post-season.

Although the Saxons are no longer competing, the tournament will carry on. OSAA Ball will commence again on June 3 and 7, with the semi-finals and finals, respectively.
