North Salem and Parrish Put on Lockdown after Stabbed Juvenile Found in Area

UPDATE: Lockdown lifted at 2:20PM

Both North Salem High and Parrish Middle are on lockdown as of 2:00 p.m. Lt. Okada of the Salem Police department claims this is a precaution in response to the appearance of an injured teen with an apparent stab wound.
Lt. Okada claims Salem Police officers were in the area around 14th street, just south of Chemeketa, when they encountered the juvenile. A suspect has not yet been caught.
The injured teen was transported to Salem Hospital.
Salem Police are currently on the scene. Both schools are in a condition two lockdown, referring to an external danger off campus. They are not allowing anyone to enter or leave the building. Worried parents are encouraged to not come near the building, and to trust security and school administration.
It is unknown how long the lockdown will be in place. Developments will be documented on StatesmanJournal as they develop.
