Boys Lacrosse Update

The Saxon boys lacrosse team have 1 win and 6 losses this season. Though the team has struggled against some of their tougher competition, such as a 0-15 loss to the West Salem Titans, they continue to practice hard and keep working towards success.
“We prepare for every game like we are getting ready to play our toughest opponent,” Lucas Hildahl ‘18, a defensive player for the Saxons, said.
With a mix of experienced players and those that are newer to the sport, the Saxons are working to find a balance of skill, teamwork, and comradery within the team. Both Hildahl and Joshua Morris ‘19 stressed the importance of the word “family” within their team dynamic.
“When we go in the huddle before a game, we don’t say ‘Saxons’ or ‘South’, we always say ‘Family’. It’s so important to us to have that kind of bond and we’re still working towards that level of connection between players,” Morris said.
The boys will play through the second week of May, their last game on May 16 at Sprague High School at 8 p.m.
