The Saxon Lacrosse season is upon us and the team is hoping to bounce back after ending the season on a 12 game losing streak. The Saxons are looking to have a similar season to last year as only five seniors graduated. Although the team is similar, this years team will be combined with the Dallas High Schools players as well. The young team has gained experience and now they are looking to improve from last season.
“My goal for this season is to improve my offense and prove that we are a team capable of winning games,” said midfielder Kadin Caprino ‘20.
Last season, the Saxons had a record of 1-12 with their only win against Hillsboro. The team is looking to add a few more wins this season and increasingly improve throughout the season. This season, there are a total of 4 which include Derek Ettel, Colton Lee, Nick Nelson, and Lucas Hildahl. With the new acquisitions from Dallas High School and the freshman joining the program, many of them are looking to make an impact on their new team.
“This season I am just trying to make my mark on the team and do whatever I can toi make my teammates better.” said John-Paul Emery ‘21.
This year’s team will look to improve from last season with the new players joining as well as the veterans from last year’s team. Overall, this year’s lacrosse team is looking to make incremental improvements as a team and look to win games along the way also.
