The South Salem football team fell to the Oregon City Pioneers by a score of 35-14 during this past Friday night in Oregon City at the Pioneer Memorial Stadium after being riddled with multiple injuries on both sides of the ball.
The Saxons, although losing by three touchdowns, had a few bright spots with the connection between quarterback Elijah Enomoto-Haole ’19 and wide receiver Treyden Harris ’19 with multiple big plays between the two. With that connection, Harris had 12 total receptions with 221 yards with two touchdown receptions. Along with that, Brayden Neuharth ‘19 had an interception. Even with the offense connection, Enomoto-Haole ’19 had two interceptions and Tony Rodriguez ‘21 had a fumble.
The Saxons are facing off against the 40 ranked Summit Storm this week. The Storm have a record of 1-6 on the year and lost to the Sprague Olympians last week 14-49, the saxons beat the Olympians earlier in the season in a nail biter. The Saxons will take on the Storm this Friday, Oct. 19 at Bennett Field.
