New Colored Robes for Souths’ Seniors

This year, South Salem High School is offering a new graduation robe color. In previous years, only columbia blue and red robes were offered, but this year a white colored robe option is available. Many students who would like this new color are pre-ordering the white robe option because there is a limited supply.

Most students are excited for the change. Even with the lack of senior quotes this year, most students are happy that they will get a new change from previous graduating classes.

Kelby Self ‘19 said she is excited for the new robe color because “South hasn’t had them since 2008.”

For 10 years South seniors have only had the option between of a red or columbia blue robe, and most of the time they did not have the option of choosing which one they wanted.

Elise Enger ‘19 said she is “… glad South is representing all of its’ colors and not just the red and columbia blue.”

The last day to place your cap and gown order was today, Oct. 19th. If you chose the option of wearing a white robe at graduation then you will be the first in 10 years!
