On May 22, the Saxon varsity baseball team defeated the West Salem Titans 9-5 in round two of the OSAA state playoffs. The game was tied 5-5 at the end of 7 innings. The teams went on to play two extra innings with no runs until Kaiden Doten ’19 hit a walk-off grand slam, with two outs, in the bottom of the ninth. The Saxons will play West Linn in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. on May 24 at Gilmore Field.
