On Friday, October 18 the South Salem Saxons played in their homecoming game against the Oregon City Pioneers. The Pioneers took advantage of two Saxon interceptions, recovered a fumble in the end zone, and had an outstanding passing performance to defeat South 39-16.
Gabe Johnson scored both of South’s touchdowns, the first on a 13 yard run and the second on a 47 yard pass from Griffin Gardner. Ryan Rickman scored both two point conversions, one run and one pass from Gardner.
