The Knight Ineffable

Fear will save love, aches, and the heartbreaks will save you from pain. The heart must be proved wrong, to: clinging to the vestiges of hope you come to realize there is none. That sword plunged through you isn’t your death; fading to the void without color is not dying, it is not death. I know you are much stronger than the broken parts you have been reduced to. You cling to faith, but faith is not belief; your soul was once gentle, and so naïve to loss, and yet through such loss you’ve gained. For that, what all have you gained? Lord of humanity as you are the last one left, you’ve gained this ruin you guard for a king that’s dead, and for your honor that is gone. Simply put, knighthood has failed you. And here at the edge of existence snow is the analogy for dreams, coming in droves like paradise only not real, fleeting. Footprints are left behind, marks looking like forever but go away soon after. You are the same creature at birth as you are at death, there is no change, no awesome fate. Nor power to behold for we are human, we are not special.

So, I urge you to rise from death, from destruction, from pain; for that is our curse. You will undoubtedly die longing for a god, and before the sun fades, and the blue rock goes cold, you’ll arise again this time changed and anew to find that god. All the flesh and all the insides constructed of tendons, sinews, veins, blood and skin; belongs to the grave. Death chokes you tightly, just relax, let it wash over you. By your Glaive dazzled with moonlight, ghosts shall wisp you away from darkness unto the gray world, to your stripped away armor. You are of the humankind, forever without light, forever without hope. The knight who died without memorial, suffering all for faith. I do not give you a name, only this title:The Knight Ineffable.
