South Salem’s Softball team is going down to South Medford High School on Friday, May 26th to play South Medford for the state quarterfinals game.
The Saxons, with a record of 21-5 and ranked 6th in state, head into this game winning their first two playoff games 10-0, not letting either team get a run.
South Medford is going into the game with a record of 22-6 and ranked 3rd in the state, narrowly pulling out a win against Lakeridge in the second round, who was ranked 14th.
This is the first time that the Saxons have advanced to quarterfinals in the playoffs over the last nine years.
With the semifinals in sight, the Saxons and the Panthers will fight it out on Friday in order to advance to the next round of playoffs and to see who keeps their amazing season going.
