For their second home game of the season, South Salem High School will host West Salem High School on Friday, September 29 at Bennett Field. The South Saxons head into the game with an undefeated record of four wins and zero loses while the West Titans have a record of one win and three loses.
From a statistical standpoint, South currently holds the fourth position in the OSAA 6A rankings. This ranks the Saxons 19 positions higher than the Titans, who sit at number 23. As far as league records go, South stands undefeated at two wins and zero losses as West has one win and one loss. This meeting will serve as both team’s third league game of the season.
Both teams are coming off of games in which they were victorious by more than 20 points. The Saxons beat South Medford 45-21 in an away game and the Titans won against Grants Pass with a 49-14 victory.
Kickoff for the varsity game will begin at 7:15 p.m.
