IBCP

South’s IBCP Program is Here!

Late last year, marketing teacher and DECA club leader, John Dixon, started a brand new program at the school designed to help students dubbed the IBCP (International Baccalaureate Career Program). This program has been established at other schools that participate in IB, but it has just arrived at South. The goal of the program is to help students who are specifically interested in learning career-related skills, and also teach critical components of success. These include applying knowledge, thinking critically, communicating clearly and handling cross-cultural engagement.

Not only does (IBCP) provide higher chances of getting accepted into a university, It prepares students for almost any career path they may choose. I’m very excited to finally have this program here at South,

Overall, this new program has a lot of potential and it is a great opportunity for students to be better prepared for college and later the rest of their lives. Students can sign up to join the program at the college and career center in the library or talk to Mr. Dixon in room 179.
