Baseball season is underway at South Salem High School and the weather could not be any better for it. South has had an unstoppable winning streak this month, with their best game being against Roseburg, ending in a crushing 13-0 victory. This led to high spirits among the team, but there needed to be more certainty about how they would perform against Sprague High School. However, on Wednesday, April 24, South won against Sprague with a narrow 8-7.
Right now, South Salem is first in the state, with Sprague being second. The tension is high with both schools having an incredible winning streak. The showdown between two of the best schools in the state will be remembered for years to come. Game schedules can be found on the school website or MaxPreps.com.
