On Friday, the Sheldon Irish defeated the South Salem Saxons 66-13. The win improved Sheldon’s record to 6-0, moving the team up to No. 9 in the state rankings. The loss dropped South Salem’s record to 1-5.
South Salem’s homecoming game is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 7:15 p.m. on Bennett Field. The Saxons will face the West Salem Titans in a matchup that offers an opportunity for the team to rebound and secure a home-field win.
