Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel Cinematic Universe just announced not one, but two new additions to the “Avengers” storyline. “Avengers: Doomsday” has been scheduled to release on December 18 2026,, and theaters are prepping themselves for the large wave of incoming fans. The movie trailer alone has produced a whopping 500 million views in the first 24 hours, while pre-ticket sales sit at around $50 million, a sign of its massive global potential. The story, set 14 years after the events of “Thunderbolts,” follows the Avengers, the Wakandans, The New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the original X-Men as they work together to face the great multi-dimensional threat, Doctor Doom.
Avengers: Secret War
In addition, Avengers: Secret War is set to release around the same time in 2027, and is expected to be loosely based on the comic storyline with the same name.
Prepping for What’s to Come
The “Avengers” franchise is highly rated, having made the cut for five of the top ten highest grossing films in history. Before watching the newest films, it is recommended you watch the previous movies. There are four in total. “Avengers” (2012), is the first assembly of the Avengers Team, followed by “Avengers: Age of Ultron” (2015), as they work together to stop a rogue AI created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner. The last two movies, “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) and “Avengers: Endgame” (2019) defeat Thanos and attempt to rewrite Thanos’s actions against the universe, respectively.

One can watch all Avengers movies on Disney+, along with related MCU shows. “Avenger: Doomsday” will be available at Regal Santiam, Regal Willamette Town Center, Northern Lights Theatre, Independence Cinema, Pub Palace Theatre and McMinnville Cinema.
