Oregon softball was undefeated with the record of 35-0 [35 wins, 0 losses] in the beginning of their season. The Oregon Ducks have matched the NCAA record of 35 consecutive wins to start a season. The record was last set in 1999 by the UCLA Bruins. They lost their winning streak to the team who originally set it on Friday, April 7, then again on April 8. The following day, they came back to beat UCLA. They are now 37-4 and are ranked sixth in the nation. The Ducks have had a solid team for a while, but can never seem to make it all the way in the playoffs. This year looks promising however. They started off strong, are competing to finish the season strong as well. Their season officially ends on May 13, but playoffs will last through June if they go far. The NCAA College World Series will take place Thursday, June 1 in Oklahoma City.
