On January 22nd, 2023, Sophia Buswell (‘25) was nominated to be the Statesman Journal Athlete of the Week. Sophia is a part of the Saxon Swim team and has been since her freshman year. In her recent meets against both West Salem High School and McNary High School, she individually scored six points for the team. The events she competed in were the 200 meter medley relay, 200 meter freestyle relay, 200 individual medley and the 100 meter butterfly. The Saxons’ next meet is against Sheldon High School on January 26th.
