There is an upcoming student directed play to be performed at South Salem High School on March 2nd, 3rd and 4th at 7 PM, as well as a 2 PM performance on the 4th. This play is featuring several comedic one acts. The play, called ‘A Simpler Time’ is being worked on by students of all grades at South, whether it be acting or working in the Tech Crew. General admission fee is $10.
The cast and crew have put a lot of dedication into working on the play.
“Quite a lot of effort has gone into the play. I personally have 4 rehearsals a week, which means staying after school almost every day, and then there’s all the directors and tech crew working on the play.” Said Elijah Barnett, an actor in two of the eight one-acts.
All together, the directors, actors and tech crew are all looking forward to the release of ‘A Simpler Time’.
“It’s something that I have been looking forward to for weeks. It is a lot of work and takes a lot of dedication but it has been a blast to be a part of it all!” Said Nico Erickson, a prop designer in the tech crew. All of the effort will pay off when they perform it at South’s very own black box theater.
