American Fast Food: Amazing Experience or Wasted Money?

As fast food is important in American culture, I believe there should be a hierarchy to it. With this in mind, I have deliberated and refined my thoughts on the top five fast food establishments according to QSR Magazine’s 2020 data inquiry

1. McDonald’s

McDonald’s is mediocre, if even that. It is good sometimes if you get the food hot but mostly it just is not with the time and money. Firstly, their ice cream machine is always being claimed as broken by the employee’s, which I don’t believe. Secondly, their sauces are gross, some of them are fine like the honey mustard and barbecue, but others like the hot mustard are disgusting.

2. Starbucks

I do not think that Starbucks qualifies as a restaurant, but more as a cafe shop. Their size names are stupid and I think they should have stuck with small, medium and large. Instead of this, they chose the size names: tall, grande, vente, and trenta. Second, their prices are ridiculous, they are way too expensive but to many people the price is worth it, so I guess it is good. But, I would prefer Dutch Bros and Bentley’s over Starbucks any day.

3. Chick-Fil-A

I think that Chick-Fil-A is a pretty good restaurant. The chicken tastes high quality and does not look or taste like it went through a meat grinder 50 times. Another thing that I love about Chick-Fil-A is that not only do they ask what sauce you want, they ask how many. I believe that every place should do that. In addition, they also have bins where you can put your extra unopened sauce so that other people that need more have easy access to it.  On top of all this, when they bring you your food they double check that you have everything that you need. Chick-Fil-A provides stellar customer service and is by far the best restaurant on this list.

4. Taco Bell

Taco Bell’s food is pretty good when you want Mexican food on a budget. The best part of their food is actually the sauce due to its good flavor. My favorites are fire and hot, diablo is not even spicy it just has a weird flavor. Their best item on the menu is the Nacho Fries but for some reason they keep discontinuing them and then bringing them back. Taco Bell cuisine is very average but I dislike their management due to their inconsistent production of Nacho Fries.

5. Burger King

Burger king is decent but they have rapidly regressed in recent years. Their chicken nuggets are now dry and paper-thin. The burgers are tiny and the Whopper is the only item worth eating. However, I always like to add toppings to my burgers and they always forget my requests. The only decent thing at Burger King is the fries because I like my fries thicker, but half the time they are cold. To be blunt, I am surprised that Burger King is even number five on the list.
