Spanish club meetings are after school on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.. Spanish Club is a fun and useful way to connect with heritage Spanish speakers, improve fluency and get help on your Spanish assignments.

We do a lot of activities, we try to do something different every time,

Diana Razo, 24′, Spanish club president, said.

At club meetings, members did origami, watched movies in Spanish, helped make decorations for the candy drive, played games like Lotería and did other various activities. The activities that they do in the Spanish club help improve speaking fluency and put students in an environment where they are surrounded by fluent speakers to be exposed to the Spanish language.

My favorite activity we did was a one we did a few weeks back, when we made tortillas and made quesadillas,

Diana Razo, ‘24, the Spanish club president said.

“It’s pretty fun, it helps me improve my Spanish in a more natural setting, instead of a classroom,

Eiley Abarca, ‘26, said.

Spanish club provides a unique setting, anyone is welcome to join regardless of their lingual skill levels. If you need help with your Spanish homework, want to improve your fluency, or just want to learn a new language, a Spanish club would be a great fit for you.

“I would say, just come and try it out and you might find out you really enjoy it.
